Vista Windows Experience Index and WinSAT – Running Benchmarks

Windows Vista relies heavily on it’s Windows Experience Index. This is used to determine what features will be loaded on install (like Aero) and may be used in the future by graphical applications like games to automatically adjust their settings based on the user’s hardware. WinSAT can manually re-run benchmarks on your computer.
